Scott Airforce Air show
We visited the air show at Scott Air Force Base.
This was taken from our parking lot.
Planes are numbered alpha-numerically. If it starts with B, its a bomber. If it starts with C, its a cargo plane. And if it begins with F like in F-16, its a fighter plane. This one was a B-52 bomber.
These planes were the highlight of the show. They were called the Blue Angels. They are F-A18 planes. They all flew very close to each other giving about 18 inches gap between them. We felt impressed by the display.
They had a parachuting display too. This was one of them. We got to meet and speak with the parachuters. Ajay got an autograph from one of them. They said that these modern parachutes are like cars, they can control speed, turning left or right etc and land precisely where they want.
This is one of the most advanced helicopters that is used by the army. Its the Black Hawk helicopter. It was filmed in the movie Black Hawk Down.
This is a Mig-17 plane, a russian plane. This was such a fast plane that it could not land in a short runway. So they release a Parachute while landing, to slow it down and successfully land it in a short runway.

Creve Couer
We went to the Creve Couer Lake last weekend. Ajay loves playing with the sand there.
We found a dead fish in the lake. Ajay was fascinated by that.
